The statement of purpose was probably the most challenging part of the applications for me. I have posted mine under the writing resources tab. Hopefully it helps. Later on, when we're writing professionally, we may have to tweak our voice to fit the editorial guidelines of whoever we're working for. But even then, having already cultivated our own strong voice, it won't be a matter of selling out, just being able to skillfully adapt our writing to the situation at hand.
